DOG BOARDING AGREEMENT
This Dog Boarding Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Wolf Lodge Dog Boarding ("Wolf Lodge") and the undersigned dog owner or authorized agent ("Owner").
By signing this Agreement, Owner acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to all of the terms and conditions set forth below.
1. Assumption of Risk
Owner acknowledges that boarding dogs involves inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, stress, escape, dog fights, bites, and other unforeseen incidents. Owner voluntarily assumes all risks associated with boarding their dog(s) at Wolf Lodge.
2. Owner Responsibility and Liability
Owner represents that they are the lawful owner or authorized custodian of the dog(s) being boarded.
Owner accepts full responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, or death involving their dog(s), except where prohibited by applicable law.
Owner further agrees to be solely financially responsible for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog(s) to another dog, person, property, or animal while attending Wolf Lodge, including any resulting veterinary or medical expenses.
3. Escape
Wolf Lodge agrees to exercise reasonable care in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all dogs. However, Owner understands that no facility can guarantee that a dog will never escape.
Except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct, Owner agrees not to hold Wolf Lodge, its owners, employees, or agents liable for injuries, losses, or damages resulting from the escape of Owner's dog(s).
4. Personal Property
Owner understands and agrees that any personal property brought with their dog(s), including but not limited to beds, blankets, toys, bowls, collars, leashes, food, medications, clothing, or other belongings, may become lost, damaged, or destroyed during boarding.
Owner releases Wolf Lodge from responsibility for the loss, damage, or replacement of such personal property.
5. Illness, Injury, and Veterinary Care
Owner acknowledges that dogs may become ill, injured, or exposed to contagious diseases despite reasonable precautions.
If Owner's dog(s) become ill or injured during boarding, or exhibit signs of a medical emergency, Wolf Lodge will make reasonable efforts to contact Owner using the emergency contact information provided.
If Owner cannot be reached in a timely manner, Owner authorizes Wolf Lodge to obtain veterinary treatment from the Owner's designated veterinarian or, if unavailable, another licensed veterinarian selected by Wolf Lodge.
Owner agrees to pay all veterinary expenses, medications, transportation costs, and related charges incurred on behalf of their dog(s).
Except where prohibited by law, Owner releases and holds harmless Wolf Lodge, its owners, employees, and agents from liability for illness, injury, or death resulting from circumstances beyond Wolf Lodge's reasonable control.
6. Natural Disasters and Acts of God
Owner understands that natural disasters and other events beyond the reasonable control of Wolf Lodge—including but not limited to tornadoes, floods, severe storms, fires, earthquakes, power outages, or other Acts of God—may occur.
Wolf Lodge agrees to make reasonable efforts to protect all boarded dogs during such events. Owner agrees that Wolf Lodge shall not be liable for injury, illness, loss, or death resulting from such events except where prohibited by applicable law.
7. Indemnification
Owner agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wolf Lodge Dog Boarding, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, expenses, or attorney's fees arising out of or related to the actions or behavior of Owner's dog(s), except to the extent caused by Wolf Lodge's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the boarding of Owner's dog(s) and supersedes all prior discussions or agreements regarding these services.
Any amendment or modification to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state in which Wolf Lodge Dog Boarding is located.
10. Acknowledgment
By signing below, Owner acknowledges that they have carefully read this Agreement, understand its contents, have had the opportunity to ask questions, and voluntarily agree to be legally bound by its terms.
